The model kit works well — will run for about 10 minutes on one “charge” of gas. This is not a kit for small children by any means — there are small parts and some parts are a bit fragile. The instruction book is good as a springboard to inquiry and for history, but is short on experiments — that’s what the more expensive kit is for. We originally put this kit together for a science fair/green expo and it had kids fascinated. If you’re interested in learning about alternative power, there is some meat here for you.
