I am looking for good educational toys for my son. I like wooden toys, too. Anything that he would find fun, intriguing, and also educational. Thanks!

Blocks with the alphabet on them. Age appropriate dolls. Those stacking toys, and the ball with the different shapes where they have to put the shapes into the same shapped slot. Singing songs that are educational based (see homeschool chatrooms for ideas on that one) I like those beads that are moved on the swirly wiry toys — but my dd didn’t care for them.

Not toys at all… household things, nature, etc.
My son is 19 months old and he is always learning something new… he likes to sweep with mommy, we play outside in the grass and count the blades, or watch how they blow in the wind. We chase rabits, and learn that they live under the big tree out front — so we don’t go over there. We water the flowers and watch how it drips out of the bottom of the hanging basket… etc.
I strongly suggest things you already have… just have to learn how to make them fun.
We do buy some things though… he loves his books and puzzles… I thought they’d be too hard, but no… he is pretty good. -

Books, blocks, Wooden train sets, puzzles, mega blocks (the big legos) Many of these toys will need your interaction at this age also but he will still play with them as he gets older too.
