What Great Educational Toys Should I Buy My 5 Month Old Baby Girl?

The toys we have seem to bore her so easily.
She is my first so i don’t know what to buy!
Can someone give me a list of toys she can benefit from, enjoy, great learning pieces, while having fun?
Thanks!

Reading to your baby is great cuddle time and helps build a love of books and reading. You can get plain (no text) picture books like the ones by Tana Hoban or read simple stories. Even a magazine with pictures. Sure, baby doesn’t understand yet, but will love to look at the pics and will love the time with you. We’ve been reading to our daughter since she was a month or two old and she LOVES books now at 16 months.
The bottle ideas are great. We also filled water bottles with colored water for her to roll around and shake, etc. We put some little plastic fish in one, too.
Another good home made toy: clean out old cans (like from tomatoes or soup) of different sizes. Make sure there aren’t any sharp edges. Cover in colored duct tape and/or electrical tape and you’ve got stacking cups, drums and rolling toys all in one :)

My 4 month old loves his bouncy seat (with toy bar) and his exersaucer… not exactly educational… but he has fun with them…

my 5 1/2 month old loves her saucer but enjoys her empy bottle with colorful beads just as much…i switch the toys every few days so she doesn’t get bored…also if u haven’t already the only thing i would invest a few bucks on are those toys to hang from the carseat…gets the motor skills going while they try to grab them…keeps things colorful not “pastelly”

Anything your child can play with is educational (as long as it is safe.) I just want to warn you about baby einstein videos they are NOT educational. They can harm your child. http://www.time.com/time/health/article/…
Babies absorb everything from everyone in their environment.

Empty water bottle with some dried cherrios.

Practically anything she plays with at this age is educational. Just talk to her about the colors, shapes, etc. that you see everywhere. Toys aren’t neccesary… use your imagination and you’ll teach her to use hers~

Try giving her household items you already have.
Pots, pans, measuring spoons & cups, tupperware. Fill a waterbottle with beads and duct tape the lid securely closed.
Kids love this stuff and it won’t cost you a dime!
Infant toys are used for such a short time, I recommend “home made” toys instead.
