Where Can I Get Educational Toys That Aren’t Too Pricey For A 2 1/2 Year Old Girl?

My friend has a little girl that I watch and I would love to get her a fun but educational gift for Christmas. I don’t have a lot of money but up to $20 I could do.
For those Mommy’s and Daddy’s on here… do you have any recommendations?
Thanks very much! =)

Books or puzzles are always a good choice! If I am giving a book as a gift, I like to include a little toy to go along with it — if it’s a book about cars, I would include a little toy car; if it’s a book about animals, I would include a stuffed animal…
Something for the two of you to do together (since you mentioned that you watch her) would be nice, too — my daughter likes sticker books similar to the one in the link — it helps teach letters, as well as gives a fun activity for you to do with her. Or, an activity book with art projects and fun stuff you could do together, along with some paints and paper, or other supplies. You could put them all together in a special box that she can use for storage, too! It doesn’t have to be expensive to be fun, educational, and special!

I’m an assistant teacher for preschoolers. Our center orders toys from these locations.…

I’ve bought a lot of things off amazon for my classroom. A lot of them run pretty cheap. Puzzles, books, or any Melissa & Doug toys are the best. Or you could even do cheap activities with her that could be fun and educational.

What kind of stuff does she like? My son is 2 and he loves trucks and dinosaurs. You can get her a book that tells her about her favorite things and read it to her or you can get her a little dolly. You could also go down to good will and find a good toy there.

Put together something on your own.
A box of crayons, a pad of paper, some stickers and watercolors make a great art kit.
    All the best.
